Het stuk, geschreven door Sophie Kassies, gaat over een koningszoon die als Aap geboren wordt. Al snel wordt hij verbannen vanwege zijn onaangepaste gedrag. Dan gaat hij op zoek naar wie hij is.
WILDEMAN wordt gespeeld, gedanst, gezongen en verteld door een danser, een actrice, twee zangers (Nationale Reisopera) en drie musici (Nederlands Symphonie Orkest). Alle muziek is van Mozart.
Regie is in handen van Flora Verbrugge ( Jeugdtheater Sonnevanck), choreografische ondersteuning Adriaan Luteijn (Introdans).
Wij bieden honorering volgens de CAO-toneel.

is a partnership between the Arts Council, Dance Ireland and the University of Limerick. The project aims to bridge the gap between dance education and professional contemporary dance practice in Ireland. It is an intensive eight-week programme of training, rehearsals, performance and development for six selected dancers who have just completed their professional training. Step Up programme will enhance these dancers’ professional networks by connecting them to the Irish contemporary dance community and improving their professional opportunities in Ireland.

Now in its second year, this initiative will give dance graduates an opportunity to work under the direction of two guest choreographers, John Jasperse (US) and Liz Roche (IRL), to create a programme of short works. These will be performed at the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance at the University of Limerick, DanceHouse in Dublin, and at the Firkin Crane in Cork. Performances will take place over the last weekend of the project (Aug. 23-26). Guest dance teachers will also work with the participants over the eight-week period.

The project will run from the 2nd July to August 26th and dancers will reside at UL, utilising state of the art studios and facilities at the Irish World Academy. Accommodation will be provided and participants will receive an honorarium for their involvement.

We are seeking applications from exceptional young dancers who will graduate in summer 2012 or who have graduated from professional level dance training within the past two years. Applicants must be born or resident in the Republic of Ireland and have a strong dance technique.

For Appetite Dance Productions' latest production "Letter to My Father", ADP will be holding invitation only auditions to recruit 3 dancers (2 male and 1 female) who are open to new ways of working. One of the male dancers will be required to play the role of a middle-aged Father.

The artistic director/choreographer Apple Yang is seeking gifted dancers with strong technical and artistic training, who ideally are trained in Contemporary and Classical Chinese dance. The ability and willingness to learn and develop a range of dance techniques and styles are essential requirements.

"Letter to My Father " UK premier performance at Dance City on 9th June 2012, followed by Beijing premier on 22nd and 23rd June 2012. Visa applications for the Beijing,China tour will be arranged by ADP.

OPEN TO PROFESSIONAL AND PRE-PROFESSIONAL DANCERS

New York City based company Ajkun Ballet Theatre is now accepting applications to audition for openings in the following positions:

CORPS DE BALLET AND SOLOIST DANCERS
Requirements: minimum age 16 years, maximum age 35 years. Background in ballet must include partnering skills and good knowledge of traditional repertory. Additional background in contemporary dance a plus, but not necessary. Annual contract: 48 weeks, of which 12 on tour.

TRAINEE
Requirements: minimum age 16 years, maximum age 23 years. Background in ballet must include strong pointe skills (females, only). Additional background in contemporary dance a plus, but not necessary.

SUMMER INTENSIVE "PERFORMING IN NEW YORK"
Requirements: minimum age 14 years, there is no maximum age for dance teachers. Background in ballet or Modern/contemporary Dance. The 2012 edition runs July 21 - August 18.

EDUCATIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL DANCER/CHOREOGRAPHER GRANTS (INTERNATIONAL EXCHANGE)
The Fund grants US$130,000 per fiscal year to dancers and US$100,000 to choreographers. Currently are open applications to candidatures for the fiscal years 2013-2014-2015.

Audition Applications must include the audition form and all items listed on the form.
