Focus: For the pre-professional or professional dancer who would like to train, prepare and be coached for the final audition for the Hungarian National Ballet Company as well as other European Companies. An internationally renowned faculty of coaches, stagers and Directors from the USA, France, Hungary and Russia will optimally prepare the dancers for this opportunity in a Company atmosphere.
Qualifications: minimum 16 years of age, classically trained dancer
Performance Gala & Audition: 16 European Companies will be represented by their Artistic Directors and decision makers to evaluate 100 qualified dancers for contracts during the final performance on the Hungarian State Opera House main stage on July 23, 2009

AUDITION Carte Blanche, the Norwegian National of Contemporary Dance Company, is seeking 1 male and 1 female dancer for full time contracts starting on August 1st 2009. Applicants must have a solid classical and contemporary dance technique and be experienced in improvisation. A female ballet partner with high level in classical ballet and good knowledge of contemporary dance is wanted to take part in an International Ballet Competition, age between 17-23. The male ballet partner is José Antonio Checa (Madrid, Spain), who studied with Tatiana Stepanova, first prize in Tanzolymp international competition and finished his studies in Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet. The competition will take place in New York City in June 8-28 2009. These three weeks, two classical pas de deux and a contemporary one will be prepared and trained by the Competition´s coaches. Grand Rapids Ballet Company is Michigan's only professional ballet company. Est. in 1971, Grand Rapids Ballet remains committed to its mission to lift the human spirit through the art of dance.
