We are currently casting for Celebrity Cruise Lines’ Solstice, Equinox and new Eclipse cruise ships for immediate and future contracts. Brief rehearsal periods in Fort Lauderdale, Florida followed by six-month performance contracts on Caribbean and Mediterranean itineraries: current and future contracts available year-round.
SEEKING DANCERS:
Male and female, 18+, classically trained with strong ballet and jazz technique as well as improvisational skills. Should be willing to and able to train and perform at heights up to 25 feet. Note: If contracted, some dancers will be trained by our in-house aerial trainers to perform various aerial choreography in addition to dance choreography.
Female dancers should wear stage make up, fishnets and heels. Male dancers wear dance sneakers. All should wear form fitting-dance attire.
SEEKING VOCALISTS:
Male and female, 18+, theatrical singers with excellent vocal technique and versatility needed for Broadway-style, Cirque-style and pop productions. Males: Seeking tenors, must have a strong G. Females: Altos must have a strong belt to a an F, Sopranos must have a high C. Bring sheet music in appropriate key, and be prepared to learn several short lines of music and a short movement combination if you are invited to a callback.
All should be willing and able to be suspended up to 25 feet.

Brandon Ballet, located in Brandon, FL is seeking to hire male and female dancers for our 2010/2011 performing season. Spring Season 2010
Nima Kiann’s dance Company Les Ballets Persans presents the 6th season of the European Youth Dance Project (EYDP). The project engages professional and semiprofessional male and female dancers, offering a complete program of performance production, repertory work, technical enhancement with focus on contemporary and classical training, master classes, cultural activities and more.
Professional and semiprofessional category dancers
Engagement within the EYDP includes two categories of professional and semiprofessional dancers. All engaged dancers of both categories will participate in company performance(s) during the spring season 2010.
Professional Dancers
Company members engaged as professional dancers will have the opportunity to dance a principal role in one or more choreographies. Their living, accommodation and local transportation expenses will be covered by the Company. Also a royalty will be paid to professional category dancers to partially cover their journey to Sweden. EYDP engages only one male professional dancer during the spring season 2010.
Semiprofessional Dancers
Company members as semiprofessional dancers are to be considered as full company members participating in company productions and performances. The EYDP program has been designed to improve these young dancers’ technical and performing skills. Participation in the EYDP as a semiprofessional dancer requires a fee to partially cover the production and training expenses.
Program
The 6th season of the European Youth Dance Project is offering a program including:
* Contemporary or classical daily classes with a strong pedagogical focus
* Daily rehearsals of choreographies for a dance production
* Performance in Sweden and possibly abroad
* Master classes arranged by Les Ballets Persans
* Repertory work
* Out-of-studio activities such as visiting Dance Museum in Stockholm
All dancers will receive a certification for their participation in the EYDP seminar and a recommendation letter after completing the program.
About European Youth Dance Project
European Youth Dance Project was introduced and had its World Premiere during the fall season of 2007. The EYDP, as a multicultural undertaking, offers young dancers to experience working in a professional dance company and aims to prepare them for the start of their professional career. Through this project, Les Ballets Persans is creating an opportunity for dancers from all around the world to take part in a peace and integration project involving young European artists.
EYDP has since its introduction had a great international impact and is having a strong multicultural character by collecting young talents of many countries with various cultural backgrounds under one project. A large number of dancers from all continents apply for the contracts on each occasion of audition. The new dance productions created for the EYDP will include both neo-classical and contemporary choreographies. EYDP’s spring season seminar of 2010 will have a duration of four weeks, starting March 15th ending April 10th.
Requirements and registration
Male and female dancers between the age of 18 and 28 being trained in classical and contemporary techniques are required to have a completed dance education. There are no restrictions for dancers from outside the European Union to apply for the contracts. Video auditioning is required. Dancers of both professional and semiprofessional categories are welcome to submit their application, CV and a recording of their dance (ballet class and/or performance) on DVD or Video no later than February 10th.

Symphony of Elegy in Green
After a successful presentation during EYDP’s Fall Season 2009, this contemporary dance drama is also included in the repertoire of this season. Symphony of Elegy in Green is a work dedicated to Peace, Democracy and freedom.

The third dance routine for the EYDP season is a complete new creation for this season. The name of the piece will be announced at a later occasion on Les Ballets Persans’ website.

Grand Rapids Ballet Company is Michigan's only professional ballet company. Est. in 1971, Grand Rapids Ballet remains committed to its mission to lift the human spirit through the art of dance. Currently, the company consists of 16 professional dancers, has it's own 300-seat theater, and associated school. Grand Rapids Ballet Company is currently seeking two male dancers to immediately join its professional ranks. Dancers should be a height of 5'7" or taller.
